Jonathan Ticehurst – Chairman
Jonathan is one of the most experienced sports event insurance experts in the market, and his thirty-five or so years in the business, coupled with his technical background, place Long Reach International at the forefront of specialist risk and insurance advisors to the ever-growing international sports business. Prior to joining Long Reach International in 2003 he led the Sports Division of Windsor Insurance Group for eleven years, and for twenty years prior to that he was a leading international loss adjuster.
James Davies – Managing Director
James has worked in entertainment insurance and risk management since 1994. Until December 2000 he managed the UK Sports and Recreation team at Aon Risk Services Ltd. He was the driving force behind the creation of this new department and pioneered the Aon Sports and Recreation team across Europe. James has worked as Risk Manager/Broker on many international sporting events including the Ryder Cup, FIFA World Cup, many PGA European Tour events and the Athens Olympics. He has also worked as a specialist insurance Risk Manager and Broker to International Management Group and Trans World International. James conceived the Sports, Leisure & Entertainment Captive structure.
Andrew Rudge – Director
With over 20 years experience in the insurance industry initially as an Underwriter and then as a Broker, Andrew has been with W&P for over 8 years. His primary responsibilities are the servicing and managing of relationships to a wide range of existing and new clients. Additional responsibilities include the firm’s FSA compliance.
Michael Russell – Director
Michael has over 35 years of insurance broking experience and has been a specialist in the arts/media sector for at least half of that time. He has served on a number of arts boards and is a former Chair of Tron Theatre, Glasgow. His responsibilities include client management/development and relationships with affinity groups including SOLT/TMA. Michael is a Chartered Insurance Broker and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
